About Education for Change Public Schools (EFC): Founded in 2005, EFC is a charter management organization operating seven schools in Oakland's Fruitvale and Elmhurst neighborhoods. Serving over 3,000 students, EFC is dedicated to providing a superior public education to Oakland's most underserved children by creating a system of public schools that relentlessly focuses on our students' academic achievement. Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the upcoming school year. This part-time role requires in-person services two days per week, working with a caseload of approximately 35-40 students. As an SLP with us, you'll have the opportunity to utilize Liricare's innovative tools and resources to enhance your service delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Assessments: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify students' speech and language needs. - Intervention: Provide evidence-based therapy to address speech, language, and communication disorders. - Collaboration: Work closely with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student success. - Documentation: Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary. - IEP Participation: Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing valuable insights. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. - Valid SLP license or credential on the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC). - Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred. - Experience in a school setting is highly valued. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
