About the Role
- Serve veterans and their families at the CalVet Los Angeles facility with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, OTs/PTs, and caregivers
- Maintain compliant documentation using tools like Liri AI
- Participate in treatment planning meetings and care conferences
Schedule
- Full-time schedule aligned with the 2025–2026 service year
- Standard work hours with built-in planning flexibility and teletherapy options
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and follow-up assessments
- Provide direct therapy services aligned with individualized goals
- Support group and one-on-one sessions in both clinical and teletherapy formats
- Submit timely documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries
What You’ll Need
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- California SLP license (or eligibility to obtain one)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; CFY welcome
- Experience with neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia management
- Familiarity with medical and VA-based service models
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
