Chandra McAtee

I am a dedicated and highly experienced Education Specialist with over 10 years of service in special education, holding a Mild/Moderate Education Specialist Teaching Credential and a Master’s degree in Digital Teaching and Learning. Throughout my career, I have served as a case manager and IEP facilitator, ensuring compliance, advocacy, and individualized instruction that supports students’ academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth. I have also held the position of special education coordinator, and overall an entire special education department.

I bring extensive experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including executive functioning challenges, learning disabilities, emotional regulation difficulties, and behavior intervention needs. As a special education teacher and case manager, I have collaborated closely with general education teachers, administrators, service providers, and families to design and implement effective, data-driven instructional plans.

My background in digital teaching and learning has allowed me to lead the integration of technology-enhanced instruction, accessible curriculum design, and differentiated learning strategies—particularly beneficial for students requiring accommodations, scaffolding, and alternative modes of engagement. I am skilled in progress monitoring, compliance documentation, IEP development, and adapting instruction to meet both academic standards and individualized goals.
