In addtion to teaching both general and special education for the last 16 years. I have, for the last 5 years worked as a special education homebound teacher supporting elementary, middle, and high school students with a wide range of academic and functional needs. Through this work, I have developed strong skills in differentiating instruction- adapting content, pacing, and teaching strategies to meet each learner exactly where they are. I consistently design flexible lessons that promote growth while honoring students' individual learning styles, strengths, and challenges. In addition, I provide targeted support for executive functioning skills, helping students build routines, manage assignments, develop organizational systems, and strengthen their planning and time-management abilities so they can be more independent and successful across their coursework.
