Owner & Clinical Director

Francesca is the owner and primary speech-language pathologist of SpeechMore, LLC, located in Windsor, CT. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in Communication Disorders at Southern Connecticut State University in 2009. She went on and received her Master of Science degree in Communication Disorders in 2011. Francesca holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) through the American Speech and Language Hearing Association (ASHA). She is licensed to practice in the State of Connecticut and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Francesca has over 13 years of experience working in a variety of settings including public schools, special education schools, outpatient adult and pediatric clinics, early intervention, and acute and subacute rehabilitation centers. She has treated individuals with needs in receptive and expressive language, alternative communication (AAC), fluency, swallowing, feeding, social skills, pragmatic language, voice, and complex speech sound disorders. Francesca has worked with children with a variety of developmental and medical diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cleft Lip and Palate, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing and Vision impairments, stuttering, ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, Specific Language Impairment, as well as many others.

Service students on autism spectrum and developmental disabilities, ages 6-22. Supervise and train staff members to implement therapy techniques. Collaborate with teachers and behavior analysts. Educate, train, and support parents. Trained in ABA interventions. Well-versed in instructional design, curriculum modification, and adapting materials to various levels of language comprehension. Assisted in obtaining grant funding of $167,000 to increase access to communication solutions for non-vocal and minimally vocal students. Provide counseling to parents and caregivers. Use trauma-informed care practices.

ASHA encourages professionals to continue lifelong learning and to maintain their current knowledge and skills. To help facilitate this, ASHA Continuing Education approves providers to offer relevant continuing education activities and recognizes ASHA member participation through the Award for Continuing Education (ACE). In order to receive this award, individuals meet the requirements by earning 7.0 ASHA Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within a 36-month period.
