About

*Not Available for Scheduling*
A speech-language pathologist since 2000, I've served students in school settings across Oklahoma, Missouri, and Illinois. My passion for leveraging technology led me to embrace teletherapy fully in 2023, recognizing its transformative potential for student support. Since 2013, I've also been creating and sharing digital materials on Teachers Pay Teachers, aiming to provide practical resources for SLPs and educators, and published my first book in 2024. Outside of my professional endeavors, I enjoy homesteading and creative & non-fiction writing. Through this platform, I look forward to connecting with fellow SLPs and sharing insights gained over my career.

Introducing Conversation Tennis Match, a social story designed to help kids learn about conversations in a fun and engaging way. We use the analogy of a tennis match to explain how conversations work. Just like in tennis, participants take turns "hitting" the conversation back and forth, ensuring that everyone has a chance to contribute. By comparing conversations to a tennis match, children can grasp the concept of turn-taking and mutual exchange more easily. The analogy makes abstract ideas more concrete and relatable. Includes ideas for additional activities in the classroom.
