Lead a team of SLPs while providing direct, evidence-based speech-language services to a caseload of 30+ students. Conduct assessments, analyze results, and design individualized IEPs/504 plans that are child- and family-centered, promoting academic and social success. Collaborate with teachers and related service providers to integrate language, speech, and communication strategies into the classroom, ensuring skill generalization across settings. Mentor and supervise staff in best practices, data-driven interventions, and compliance with school, state, and federal guidelines.

Provides high quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to students’ IEPs/504 plans to caseloads ranging from 50-60 students. Conducts assessments, analyzing results, and writing reports to determine strengths and concerns in areas of speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills. Develops treatment plans (IEPs/504 plans) that are strength-based as well as child and family centered for overall educational improvement. Ensures evaluations, treatment plans and service deliveries are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines. Assists and guides teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders. Consults with teaching teams to develop and implement of curriculum modifications and appropriate classroom strategies such as visual supports, oral motor exercises, language strips, topics of conversation, and data collection. Ensuring students’ skills are generalized across settings by collaborating with teaching teams and related service providers.

Providing supervision for SLPAs. Currently responsible for designing and implementing a supervisory plan that ensures the highest standard of quality care can be maintained for students consistent with the skills and experience of the SLPA; the needs of the students; the service setting; the tasks assigned; and the laws and regulations that govern SLPA.

Evaluated and treated patients with Language/Articulation Disorders, Dysphagia, Fluency disorders, Voice disorders, Neurological Disorders, Aphasia, Motor Speech Disorders, Cognitive Disorders, and General Communication Disorders. Experienced with Cleft Lip/Palate and Auditory Processing patients. Created treatment plans, provided caregiver education, documented progress, and collaborated with therapy staff.
