About
Hi, I’m Katherine Chen, MS OTR/L, a pediatric occupational therapist passionate about helping children build skills to fully participate in daily life. I specialize in supporting children with sensory processing challenges, developmental delays, feeding difficulties, and fine motor, visual-motor, and self-regulation needs. I work across clinic, school, and home settings to provide individualized, evidence-based therapy that is both child-centered and family-focused. I collaborate closely with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary teams to create meaningful, functional interventions that promote independence, confidence, and participation in play, learning, and daily routines. I use approaches such as DIR-Floortime, Ayres Sensory Integration, and the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach to meet each child’s unique strengths and needs, always aiming to empower children to thrive in their natural environments. Fluent in Mandarin and skilled in creating culturally responsive care plans, I enjoy partnering with families to carry strategies into everyday life, helping children reach their fullest potential.
