Language delays and disorders, which include expression and comprehension of verbal
and nonverbal language
Fluency disorders, which include stuttering
Voice and resonance disorders
Swallowing and feeding disorders; this ranges from premature babies to the geriatric
population
Cognitive communication disorders, which include social communication skills,
reasoning, problem solving and other executive functions
Pre-literacy and literacy skills, which include phonological awareness, decoding,
sequencing, reading and writing
Special populations such as Autism spectrum disorders, Cerebral palsy, Down syndrome,
hearing impairments, traumatic brain injuries, dementia, developmental disorders,
intellectual disorders, genetic disorders, neurological disorders, strokes, facial palsy
