If you are a BIPOC SLP, Iit's important to utilize your social network. Despite being a minority, members of the speech community of color should know that they are not alone. Many practicing speech pathologists are thrilled to have more people of color joining the profession, and attending conventions such as NBASLH or ASHA can provide an opportunity to connect with other members of minoritized groups.
You can find a list of caucuses HERE: https://www.asha.org/practice/multicultural/opportunities/constituency/
